DECEPTION PASS STATE PARK---Rosario Beach to Lighthouse Point and Back
This 4.3 mile hike is in Skagit County. It utilizes that section of the PNT (Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail) that parallels Highway 20 south of Pass Lake.
NOTE: It is recommended that the hiker purchase a map of Deception Pass State Park. This map shows all of the trails and is easy to read. Maps can be purchased at the Park Office, 41020 State Route 20. The Park office is located on the Whidbey Island side of Deception Pass Bridge. It is on the east side of SR 20 several blocks north of the stop light at the intersection of the Cornet Bay and Cranberry Lake Park entrance roads.
Data: This hike uses current trails in Deception Pass State Park. A Washington State Discover Pass is required to park anywhere in the Park. SWITMO rates this as an easy to moderate hike. SWITMO helps maintain trails in Deception Pass State Park.
From the intersection of Highway 20 and Rosario Road (near Pass Lake, on the Skagit County Side of Deception Pass Bridge) go westerly on Rosario Road. In about one mile, go LEFT, downhill on Cougar Gap Road. At the low spot in Cougar Gap Road, turn LEFT onto Rosario Beach Road and drive to the Park entrance and parking. If the Park is closed, park alongside the road.
